Independent Living Support for People with Physical Disabilities

Top of Form

We believe that whether you are born with a disability or it is acquired later in life and whether it is permanent or temporary, it is vitally important to have some independence in the community. Independent living is more possible now, than it ever was before with Direct Payments, Individual Service Funds, and Individual Budgets providing more choice and control, and the ability to choose your own help at home. Home support means that for the majority of people, it is possible to stay within the comfort of their own homes and community settings rather than be in residential care.

How can we help?

To be able to take responsibility for oneself rather than be a passive recipient of care, is essential to retain a sense of well-being. Our home carers supports and mentors people with physical disabilities to live as independently as possible, encouraging and helping them to get the best out of life.

We can support irrespective of how simple or complex the identified needs are. With our person centered approach, we ensure that personal support plans are designed around the personal needs and wishes of the person we are supporting and significant others.

Freedom of choice…

People can now choose the type of care they feel they need through introduction of personalisation framework. The type of support we can provide is unlimited and includes:

Personal Care at homeassistance with daily routines like washing and bathing, getting dressed/undressed, feeding and ready for the day, managing medicines, or settling in for the evening.

Practical Care at home: support with daily tasks like light domestic duties, collecting benefits, paying bills, preparing meals and drinks and shopping.

Social and Leisure Activities; arrange trips out, visits to friends and family, attending youth clubs or coffee mornings, cultural and other social activities.

Community Inclusion; we can support with joining and engaging with local volunteer or community groups and events.

We will work with the individual to empower them to do things for themselves as much as possible.

Whatever full potential you want to achieve in life, we believe it is possible

We confidently believe that a physical disability should not block rights to choose or achieve goals in life. Everyone is different and needs are bound to change, therefore we are committed to closely monitoring achievements and the personal aspirations of our clients. We also welcome constructive feedback for continuous improvement purposes.
