"People have equal rights as citizens and services for people with learning disabilities should promote inclusion, independence and choice ~ Valuing People (White Paper, 2001)."
People with learning disabilities have the same needs as we all have in terms of their freedom and choice; to live independently, have self-esteem, engage socially, and to be able to maximize their full potential as possible.
What is a learning disability?
Learning disabilities, although they can be categorized, can vary from person to person; each person is unique. In most cases there may be some reduced intellectual ability or social skills, and in some people, there may also be physical or emotional conditions.
The home care and community services we provide are planned especially for each person, taking into account their individual and unique requirements, irrespective of their age or circumstances.
How can we help?
People with learning disabilities can live full and rewarding lives, but may need some degree of support with some aspects of daily life. The levels of support will be unique but may include assisting with everyday personal needs or help with domestic tasks in the home.
We are proud for promoting and maintaining independent living and supporting people with learning disabilities to get the best out of life. We believe that life is all about what you can do and not about any form or type of labelling.
We support people with learning disabilities to develop more fulfilled lives, enabling them to make a positive contribution to their local community.
